The first Saturday of every month the Short North District in Columbus has something called Gallery Hop, where all the galleries are open until 10pm. This is always a fun event and when the weather is like it was yesterday it can’t be beat. Melissa, Emily, Addie and I went yesterday. We enjoyed some of the galleries, but also some very nice clothing stores including a second hand store with some awesome deal. Of course we finished the night with some Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream. It was exciting to try some of their new seasonal flavors like cucumber-cantaloupe with cayenne and the red beats which I have now forgotten what it had with it. I think we all liked it, but Addie probably enjoyed it the most. She also loved all the street musicians and danced all the way back to the car.
Now we are leaving to go to Old-Time Pottery where we will hopefully find some centerpieces for the wedding.

The two in Indianapolis
After dating for nearly four years Erik proposed to Melissa on November 10th 2008. Melissa and Erik were vacationing on the beaches of Sanibel Island on the Gulf Coast of Florida. They will continue the coastal theme for their July 10th 2010 wedding in Wilmington, North Carolina. This blog will hopefully be a fun way for you to follow our adventure.

- MELISSA JACKSON grew up in Worthington, Ohio. She attended Wittenberg University where she played both Lacrosse and Field Hockey. After graduating, she spent two years as an AmeriCorps Vista at Wittenberg University and has recently been offered and accepted the Vista Leader position with Ohio Campus Compact in Granville, Ohio. Melissa can’t wait to share her big day with family and friends.
ERIK LINDSJO is originally from a little town in southeastern Sweden named Mjolby. Today Erik works at a Frank Lloyd Wright House in Springfield, Ohio and will be attending an MPA program at OSU in the fall. Like Melissa, he too is a graduate of Wittenberg University. The thing that excites Erik the most about the wedding, other than his beautiful future bride, is deciding on the menu and the wine.
